Amber Lattice

Description

A warm amber gold ground, the colour of late afternoon in October, of saffron dissolved in oil, of something that has been gathered over time. Across its surface, densely packed cobalt blue geometric bloom motifs repeat in a fine all-over pattern, each one a small four-petal form framed in white. The density of the pattern creates an almost textile-like richness, not one motif but a field of them. Amber and cobalt is a combination found throughout Islamic decorative art from Persia to Andalucia. This tie is for weddings, for celebrations, for the festive season.
